How is it that Yahoo never developed its own version of page rank? You would think it would develop a strategy similar to page rank but never did.

Yeah, it is surprising to see that why the Yahoo doesn't develop its own page rank. I am not sure Yahoo uses complex algorithm like Google for search engines and further Yahoo's searching algorithm seems to be obsolete.
